Sea Edge Beachside Hotel

I was on the ground floor and would have loved to be able to relax and enjoy the view but every person walking by looked into my room. Some way to allow the view but maintaining some privacy would be nice. As an older person the tv was difficult to figure out. It was late and I was not going to call to see if someone was able to sort it out. I just wanted local news but had on demand tv. Room was lovely and spacious but I checked out early when realized I wasn’t going to be able to lounge and enjoy the view. I would stay again.

My sisters and I stayed 2 nights on the ground floor as I mentioned they have mobility issues. We really enjoyed our stay and a future stay is planned. Especially loved the new lounge, it is very well designed. So thoughtful to put in a coffee and hot chocolate bar. The views are amazing. Next time we will sit outside at the fire pits if the weather cooperates.

Loved our accomodation. Booked rooms for friends out of town and they also enjoyed the experience very much. Top of the line in bed comfort, cleanliness, and of course the view, gazebos and gas fire pits. Its a resort destination. The lounge with various coffees and hot choclate on cool days is such a nice touch as sell as the lounge space. Thank you to the most accomodating and friendly staff.

It was a cold and rainy week but we enjoyed every moment at Sea Edge. An unobstructed ocean view and walks along the beach and the boardwalk every day made it a memorable mini vacation. Cottage/house are super clean with very comfortable beds. The furniture is older but suits the place. So quiet which is what we wanted. Jufor the Manager was very professional, helpful and friendly. He recommended restaurants and responded immediately to a few small requests we had. Excellent service from the cleaning staff as well. We will definitely return to Sea Edge next year.

Perfect location with direct access to beach and walkable distance to the downtown core. Staff are friendly and professional and the lounge in reception area is lovely. Rooms are large and clean and bonus is little kitchen with full size fridge, microwave, hot plate, sink and all the utensils and dishes.

My daughter and I stayed February 3 to 8th, we extended stay by a day as we were enjoying it so much. Had our own rooms upper floor. Good railings on stairs up. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Unbeatable view. Perfect location for beach lover. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit very much and the other fire options. BBQed twice. The lounge is a lovely place to spend some time. Staff was so pleasant and helpful. I was puzzled that bathroom floor in my room was sticky, maybe so you don't slip? One suggestion, as I have some mobility issues, a ramp into reception would be nice as no railing to steady yourself when stepping up. We are looking forward to returning!

We have stayed at this motel many times over decades. It has recently transitioned to new management, who have invested a lot into upgrades. The location remains the best in Parksville. You come out of your room directly onto a lawn and play area, and from there right onto the beach - right on your doorstep. And the best beach in Parksville. I stayed in a couple of different rooms, and the upgrades are nice. Lovely, spacious walk in showers with rainheads and a handheld sprayer. Very large smart tvs, and beds with luxury linens. Nice little kitchenettes with a cooktop and apartment sized fridge, if you want to save money and eat in. This remains my favorite place to stay in Parksville, especially if you can get a good deal, such as the stay 2 days, get 1 day free deal that I got this visit. I was a bit dismayed when I decided to stay for an additional three days that they would not simply extend the lower rate, and it was much pricier for the second set of three days. The rooms are very clean and well kept. There was an invasion of ants in my bathroom, and I had to report it twice and wait for 2 days for it to be remedied, but it was. A few minor issues, such as the shower door kept sliding open, and the bedside lamp would not work properly. Definitely a great place to stay, though.

Stayed here in October 2025 and had a wonderful experience. I was sick, and needed a place to recover while travelling and booked 5 nights here. It was serene, and quiet, and they have very kind staff who were respectful of my need to sleep over those days and didn't disturb me, I enjoyed my stay here and actually was blessed to see an eagle catch a fish in the Salish Sea, which was astonishing to watch.
